Rest In Peace Keith Elam/GURU Aka. Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal...

GURU has lost his battle to the cancer, that, allegedly, has faded this all-time-great

rapper, these last years...

Credit is so much due right now...

1 Love, GURU, and fanx for being an integral part of my musical and cultural upbringing...

Following are some images from the groups legendary performance in Denmark's Pumpehuset in 1994; peakin' and on top of their game (in the magic, golden years of the nineties, still riding the wild wave called Hip Hop... Pure realness with dat ol' real Hip Hop!)...

No wonder they had the crowd in a certified Hip Hop frenzy!

Rest in peace to the epitomy of streethard realness that was GURU/GANG STARR... Lingering Above The Clouds, leaving Us behind to face all that jazz back here on planet Earth...

(Pictures also on flickr!)

⬇Following are some bonus images from when Jeru Tha Damaja was guesting Forbrændingen in Albertslund, Cph./Denmark in the year of 2000. We must not forget that the Gang Starr greatness also pertains in the sheer aboundance of fellow rappers that spawned thru this groups raw enigma, and was later dubbed Gang Starr Foundation (very appropriate, actually)... (What up to Jeru Tha Damaja, Malachi The Nutcracker, Lil Dap and Big Shug, the original Gang Starr/GURU sidekick from back in the day, before GURU met up with DJ Premier...)
